Canadian parents have traditionally sent their children to public schools. Unlike their counterparts down south, Canada had about 10% the number of private schools per student per capita than in the USA. This seems to be changing as more Canadian parents choose to ‘go private’ vs public. In the last few years, there has been an increase north of 28% in private school enrollment.
